New DMV Kiosk Opens at Kailua Foodland

Renewing your vehicle registration just got a lot easier for Windward residents. The City and County of Honolulu has opened a new self-service DMV kiosk at Foodland in Kailua Town Center, making it the 11th such kiosk on Oʻahu. The machine allows motorists to renew eligible vehicle registrations and receive their documents immediately — no trip to a staffed DMV office required. The kiosk is accessible during Foodland's regular operating hours, including evenings and weekends. Source: City and County of Honolulu

Volunteers Plant First Trees at Kailua Beach Park Dune Restoration

About 50 volunteers joined the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation and the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant Program last month to kick off a Kailua Beach Park Dune Restoration project. In partnership with the State Department of Land and Natural Resources, the effort planted the first trees along the dunes as part of a long-term initiative to restore the natural coastal ecosystem at one of Oʻahu's most beloved beaches.
